SL v IND 2021: Sri Lanka announces squad for India limited overs series; Dasun Shanaka named captain

The ODI series begins on July 18 and the T20I series will follow from July 25 onwards.

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC) has announced the 25-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI and three-match T20I series against India. Dasun Shanaka has been named captain of the team, while Dhananjaya de Silva will be his deputy.

The three ODI matches will be played on July 18, 20, and 23, while the T20I series will be played on July 25, 27, and 29. All six matches will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo behind closed doors.

Kusal Perera has been ruled out of the series due to his shoulder injury, while Fast bowler Binura Fernando, who made his ODI debut in Bangladesh in May, has also sustained an injury - a lateral ligament sprain to his left ankle - during a training session on Thursday (July 15) and will not be part of the ODI series.
