Rohit Sharma gave a hilarious reaction when Harsha Bhogle announced Rishabh Pant for the award.
India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Friday (February 18) played a crucial knock in the second T20I against West Indies. His innings helped the hosts post an above-par score of 186/5 in 20 overs at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Pant scored an unbeaten 52 off just 28 balls, which included 7 fours and a six. He also ended up winning the Player of the Match award after India successfully defended their score and restricted West Indies to 178/3.
When Pant's name was announced for the award, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma gave a hilarious reaction to tease the southpaw. Harsha Bhogle said that Pant is second T20I's 'Man of the Match'.
Reacting to Harsha, Rohit was heard jokingly asking, "Rishabh Pant Is The Man of the Match?". To which the renowned sports presenter replied, "Come on Rohit, he batted very well though."
India have taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series and the third T20I will be played on February 20. Pant is likely to miss the last match as BCCI has given him a break from the bio-bubble.
