India bowled out West Indies for a paltry 169 in 37.1 overs in the third ODI.
Opting to bat first, the hosts posted 265/10 in their stipulated 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with the willow, scoring 80 off 111 balls while Rishabh Pant chipped in with a handy 54-ball 56. Deepak Chahar (38) and Washington Sundar (33) also made notable contributions in the lower order.
Jason Holder starred with the ball for West Indies, claiming four wickets by conceding 34 runs in his eight overs. Alzarri Joseph (2-54) and Hayden Walsh (2-59) also chipped in with a couple of scalps each.
In reply, West Indies’ innings folded for a paltry 169 in 37.1 overs. It was a listless performance from the visitors as no one managed to touch the 40-run mark.
For India, the pace duo of Prasidh Krishna (3-27) and Mohammed Siraj (3-29) wreaked havoc with the ball, sharing six wickets between them while bowling economically. Deepak Chahar (2-41) and Kuldeep Yadav (2-51) also returned with two scalps each.
Cricket fraternity lauded the Indian cricket team for their dominating display in the last ODI to register a series sweep.
