Prasidh Krishna returned with the figures of 4/12 in second ODI in Ahmedabad.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Team India posted a below-par total of 237 runs in the second ODI, it was certain that only a brilliant display of bowling could help them defend the total on batting-friendly Ahmedabad pitch.
Prasidh Krishna stepped up for the Indian team and took 4 wickets for just 12 runs, ensuring India defended the small total and won the match by 44 runs to seal the series. The Karnataka pacer was also awarded the Player of the Match for his spell.

Addressing the press conference after the second ODI against West Indies, Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna said that skipper Rohit Sharma praising him was flattering for him. He remarked that he has been putting hard yards and he’s glad that it came off.
"Rohit's praise is quite flattering for me, he has been playing cricket for a long time, the comment coming from him, I am personally very happy. I have been putting in the hard yards, I am glad it happened today," Prasidh Krishna said.
Krishna said that since he made his debut for India, he has been striving to get more consistent. He added that he was clear on what he wanted to work and he’s glad that it came out well for him.
"It has been almost one year since I made my debut for India. I have been striving to get more consistent since then. When I started off, I was more excited. We have had our plans, very clear on what I wanted to work on and I am glad it came out well today,” he said.
Krishna revealed that he had discussions with skipper Rohit Sharma ahead of the game. He said that they are trying to work on consistency as a team and are helping each other.
“As a cricketer, you want to be playing whenever the opportunity presents itself. Rohit and I had discussions before the match as well, there was nothing specific advice from him. As I said, we have been working on consistency within the team. We have good bowlers in the team and we are helping out each other," he said.

Prasidh Krishna further admitted that Suryakumar Yadav’s inning was crucial for India after they lost early wickets. He revealed that their initial plan with the ball was to keep things tight and put pressure on the batters.
“I think the timing of Suryakumar Yadav's innings was crucial as we had lost early wickets and credit to the West Indies bowlers, they were bowling on good line and length. Surya's innings was very important. The initial plan was to keep it tight and put pressure on the batters. It was about reacting to the situation. Credit goes to everybody," he concluded.
The dead-rubber third ODI between India and West Indies will be played on Friday (11th February) at the same venue.
