A young kid couldn't control his emotions on seeing Rohit and began crying.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma enjoys a huge fan following which is not limited to his home in Mumbai but is spread all across India and even overseas. The opener has been out of action after a thumb injury on the tour of Bangladesh, missing the Tests there and the T20I series against Sri Lanka at home.

But he is back to lead the Indian team in the three-match ODI series which begins on January 10 in Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium. This will also start their roadmap to the 2023 ODI World Cup at home in October-November.

Especially after the semi-final loss to England in T20 World Cup 2022, Rohit Sharma has been under pressure to win a multi-nation tournament, though India has done extremely well in bilateral series at home.

Meanwhile, in a viral video doing rounds on social media, a young fan got extremely emotional on seeing his hero Rohit Sharma when he stepped outside to meet and greet his fans.

“Rone ka kya baat hai, chota bacha hai tu,” (Why are you crying, you are just a small kid). Itna mota mota gaal kar diya (You have such fat cheeks) he said while pulling his cheeks,” Rohit can be heard saying to the kid.  

He then asked the kid to take a selfie with him and the youngster smilingly obliged.
