India completed an easy 238-run win in the Pink-ball Test at Bengaluru on the third day to take the series 2-0 and seal their 15th consecutive Test series victory at home since 2012. With this win, India's home season also came to an end with the home side winning 15 of the 16 matches played across formats and a draw against New Zealand.

Chasing 447 to win, Sri Lanka resumed their second innings at 28/1 and were given a fine start as Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis (54) attacked the Indian bowling before the latter was dismissed by R Ashwin with the score reading 97/2.

After that, no other Sri Lanka batter could trouble the relentless Indian bowling attack apart from the captain Karunaratne who went on to score a brilliant 107, his 14th hundred in Test cricket.

R Ashwin finished with 4/55 and Jasprit Bumrah with 3/23, while Akshar Patel (2/37) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/48) also were in the wickets for India.

Shreyas Iyer was named the Player-of-the-Match for his twin fifties, while Rishabh Pant was awarded the Player-of-the-Series award for his explosive knocks and top-class glove-work. Rohit Sharma has now won all 14 matches as full-time India captain across formats.

Indian team will now have few days off before the players join their respective franchises for IPL 2022.

The Indian cricket fraternity hailed Team India for their ruthless performance in the series as they never allowed the visitors to dominate at any stage.
