The three-match T20I series will get underway on November 17.
With Virat Kohli quitting T20I captaincy after the T20 World Cup 2021, the selection committee named Rohit Sharma as captain while KL Rahul will perform the role of vice-captain.
Kohli isn’t part of the 16-member squad, which also features Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, and Venkatesh Iyer.
Wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal returns to the team after being ignored for the T20 World Cup. R Ashwin and Akshar Patel are the other two spinners in the squad while Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj are part of the pace attack.
The T20I series will be played from November 17 to November 21 in Jaipur, Ranchi, and Kolkata.
