Australia and South Africa to play 3 T20Is each against India.
Australia will visit India first for the T20I series and the three matches will be played on Sept 20 in Mohali, Sept 23 in Nagpur, and Sept 25 in Hyderabad.
Then India will host South Africa for a series of three T20Is and three ODIs, with the 20-over games being played first. The three T20Is will be played on Sept 28, Oct 2nd, and 4th at Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Indore respectively.
Most of the players who were named in the T20 World Cup 2022 squad will be available for both the T20I series.
Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team with KL Rahul as his deputy. Virat Kohli, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, and Dinesh Karthik make up the batting unit, while Hardik Pandya and Akshar Patel are the all-rounders.

R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have been named as the spinners, while Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will helm the fast-bowling department. A surprise addition to the mix has been the names of Mohammad Shami and Deepak Chahar who have been included in both squads.
Arshdeep Singh was not named in the Australia T20I series, with Deepak Chahar being included in the mix. For the South Africa T20Is, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were not included.
The reason for giving the pacers some breathing space is that Bhuvneshwar, Hardik and Arshdeep will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa.
