Rohit will lead in T20I and ODI series against England.
In what will be a massive boost for the Indian cricket team, skipper Rohit Sharma has started his preparations for the white-ball series against England.
The right-hander tested Covid-19 positive a few days ahead of the ongoing rescheduled Test against England, which ruled him out of the match. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah was named captain of the side and the pacer has done a remarkable job till now as the hosts have dominated the first three days under him.

The 35-year-old tested negative for Covid-19 on Sunday (3rd July) and he wasted no time in hitting the nets and preparing himself for the white-ball series. In a video shared by BCCI on Twitter, the Indian skipper can be seen practicing against the white ball bowled by R Ashwin and other net bowlers.

Rohit’s absence in the one-off Test is quite evident considering the struggles of Indian openers. The Mumbai batter is also the leading run-scorer in the series with 368 runs.
He will now be leading Team India in three-match T20I series, starting 7th July followed by the ODI series which will begin on 12th July.
