Burns dropped Sharma twice, who hit his maiden overseas Test century on day 3.
As the pitch at The Oval was supposed to be batting conducive after the ball gets old and its shine is worn off, India batters Rohit Sharma (127) and Cheteshwar Pujara (61) utilized ut to the fullest as the duo put together a 153-run stand for second wicket.
While the Mumbai-based cricketer is lauded for an amazing century, England's Rory Burns is receiving a lot of flak for dropping Rohit not once but twice. He first dropped a chance on day 2 and then gave Sharma a chance on day 3.
Thus, the former England skipper Michael Vaughan was not happy with Burns dropping India’s star opener and took to Twitter taking a jibe at the English opener by inviting him over to his fielding academy.
“Rory Burns will receive an invite this evening to my fielding academy .. #ENGvIND,” Vaughan wrote on Twitter.
