Rohit Sharma brought up his maiden overseas Test century with a maximum.
The former India cricketer Zaheer Khan in his recent interaction with Cricbuzz, lauded the right-handed batsman for his 8th Test century which helped tourists to get in a good position in this Oval Test match.
“His intentions were clear. He has adapted his game according to the English conditions. While facing the new ball, he is trying to set himself up at the crease that enables him to leave the deliveries outside the off-stump and pick the balls which he can target,” Zaheer Khan told Cricbuzz Chatter.
The Rohit-Pujara duo made full use of the batting-friendly wicket at The Oval and made England bowlers toil as they stitched together a 153-run partnership for the second wicket.
“The Oval pitch offers bounce and Rohit Sharma relishes when the ball comes at pace. He has molded his game according to India's needs and scored a brilliant ton,” the left-arm quick signed off.
As far as the fourth Test match is concerned, thanks to Rohit Sharma (127) and Cheteshwar Pujara (61), India were able to get a 171-run lead as the scoreboard reads 270/3 with skipper Virat Kohli (22) and Ravindra Jadeja (9) at the crease.
