India's captain Virat Kohli is usually the one who's fired up on the field and carries a lot of aggression. But to everyone's surprise, Kohli was seen calming down his fast bowler Mohammed Siraj during the Day 4 of the first Test.

Siraj was charged up and he was having a go at the England all-rounder Sam Curran in the hosts' second innings at Trent Bridge. In the 74th over, Curran hit the speedster for a boundary which he didn't like at all.

The 27-year-old was peeved by Curran's counterattack and he bowled him a bouncer which was followed by a verbal exchange. It was that moment when Kohli intervened and tried to calm down Siraj.

Curran, who was unbeaten in the first innings, added 32 runs in the second innings. Every run was crucial for India as England looked to post a target for the visitors in the first Test.

India is chasing a target of 209 in the last innings and they need another 157 runs to win the match on the final day. At stumps on Day 4, England picked up one wicket as India scored 52 runs. In the second innings, England scored 303 runs after being bowled out on 183 runs in the first innings.
