India pacer Jasprit Bumrah contributed with the bat after picking four wickets in first innings.
India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has performed as per expectations in the ongoing first Test against England. Bumrah was looking out of touch in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand, but he has been terrific with the ball at Trent Bridge to give India an advantage over England in the first innings.
Bumrah has made an all-round contribution which gave India a 95 runs lead in the first innings. They bowled out England on 183 runs, in which the India speedster was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged four wickets.
In reply, India scored 278 runs after KL Rahul played an 84-run knock. Bumrah also made an important contribution to stretch India's lead. Coming out to bat at number 10, he scored 28 runs off 34 deliveries.
IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals posted a hilarious meme from the movie 'Chup Chup Ke' to appreciate Bumrah's all-round contribution. The meme featured Rajpal Yadav as he says, "Mai.. Mereko sab aata hain, mai expert hu".
Apart from Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja scored a half-century in the first innings. Unfortunately, India captain Virat Kohli couldn't open his account and got dismissed on a golden duck by James Anderson.
