India's captain Virat Kohli showed a kind gesture towards the young kids at the Trent Bridge ahead of their opening Test match against England on Wednesday (August 4). Kohli won hearts on social media for gifting his cricket spikes to the kids before the start of the match.
The kids posed with the autographed spikes and a mini bat from the Indian captain. They were delighted to get the priceless gift from one of the greats of cricket.

Indian cricket team dominated the first day's play at Nottingham as they bowled out England on 183 and then added 21/0 before stumps. India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah bagged four wickets. There were doubts over Bumrah after his poor performance in the ICC World Test Championship final, but he shut down his critics on the first day of the opening Test.
India have opened their innings with the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. They had to replace Mayank Agarwal with Rahul after the former suffered a head injury during a practice session. Earlier, India lost Shubman Gill before the start of the series due to a leg injury.
