BCCI made all the players to undergo three RT-PCR tests before assembling in Mumbai.

Indian cricket team has entered the bio-bubble for a strict quarantine in Mumbai before flying to the United Kingdom (UK). Team India players will undergo quarantine in the UK as well before the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the first glimpse of Team India for the UK tour. They posted a small clip featuring Indian players like Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah sweating it out in the gym.

Taking to Twitter, BCCI posted a video and wrote, "Getting stronger each day!". After completing the two-week quarantine in Mumbai, the team will undergo another 10-day quarantine in the UK.

The players have got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines before entering the bio-bubble. As per the sources, they will be getting the second jab in England. 

"The team has already taken the first dose here after the government opened the vaccination process for all above 18. The second dose will be administered by the UK health department once the players are eligible to get the second jab as per rules," BCCI sources had told ANI.

For the safety of the players, BCCI made all the players to undergo three RT-PCR tests before assembling in Mumbai on May 19.
