India outplayed Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Pune.
India and Bangladesh clashed in Match 17 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in Pune. India continued their winning ways as they comprehensively outplayed Bangladesh by seven wickets to make it four wins from four matches.
Bangladesh scored 256/8 after opting to bat first with regular captain Shakib Al Hasan missing the match due to his quad injury. Tanzid Hasan (51) and Litton Das (66) hit fifties but none of the batters to follow could build onto the advantage as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each as India restricted Bangladesh to a moderate total in batting friendly conditions.
In reply, Rohit Sharma (48) and Shubman Gill (53) batted aggressively at the top to get India off to a great start. Thereafter Virat Kohli proved to the world why he's known as the chase master, as he scored his 48th ODI century to be not out on 103, while KL Rahul supported him with an unbeaten 34. India won by 7 wickets with 51 balls to spare.

After Kohli finished off the match with a six, also bringing up his third World Cup ton, captain Rohit Sharma walked out to the ground to give him and Rahul a tight hug to celebrate the victory, which touched the hearts of the fans.

India have builded a great momentum in the tournament as they have outplayed Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. They will next face the only other unbeaten side in the tournament, New Zealand in Dharamsala on Sunday.
