India and Pakistan are facing off in the 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. Both teams came into this big match after winning their first two matches. Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Openers Imam Ul Haq (36) and Abdullah Shafique (20) added 41 runs in the 8 overs at the start to give a good start. But after they were dismissed, Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) added 82 runs to consolidate the innings.

However, Mohammed Siraj accounted for Babar Azam, and then Kuldeep Yadav dismissed both Saud Shakeel (6) and Iftikhar Ahmed (4) in the 33rd over. The onus was now on Mohammad Rizwan, but Rohit Sharma brought in a trump card in Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah completely bamboozled Rizwan with an off-cutter and clean-bowled him for 49 runs with Pakistan at 168/6. After that, Pakistan's innings came to a swift end at 191 runs in 42.5 overs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets apiece.

Many expected a much better batting performance from Pakistan, who were coming off a record chase against Sri Lanka. But this kind of crumble-in-a-crunch match made quite a noise on social media.

The cricket fraternity was surprised who the Pakistani batters played on a batting wicket and praised the Indian bowlers for their amazing performance.
