CWC 2023: "India will be under pressure at home ground"- Hassan Ali; says Pakistan will break the jinx

The anticipation for the iconic clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has reached the next level, and Hassan Ali has cranked up the pre-match excitement.

Well, the Pakistan pacer has added to the excitement by declaring that India will be grappling with mounting pressure when they face the Men in Green on their home turf at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.

Ali said that there is no match for the India-Pakistan rivalry, dubbing it the "best sporting rivalry in the world,” and his team is eagerly looking forward to this titanic battle in Ahmedabad.

With both teams in top form, having won their first two matches at CWC 2023, fans can expect nothing less than a cricketing spectacle when they face off in the high-voltage clash.

Hassan Ali said in a video posted by PCB on X handle: “This is the best sporting rivalry in the world. Many players have already spoken about how everyone around the globe tunes into this match. The team is excited for this game, and so am I to play at a venue hosting fans in excess of 100,000. We are looking forward to the game.”

Pakistan has never won a match against India in the ODI World Cups and the pacer said that they are looking forward to break this jinx.

He added, “Records are meant to be broken and we too are looking forward to breaking this jinx of not having beaten India in a 50-over World Cup.”

Ali signed off by saying, “It is India who will be under pressure as it is their home ground with fans turning up to support them. There is always pressure in a big game like this but we will try to gain momentum early in the proceedings and win the contest.”
