Naveen and Kohli had an heated argument during RCB v LSG IPL 2023 match.
India is coming off a win over Australia in Chennai, while Afghanistan lost to Bangladesh in their opening encounter in Dharamshala. The last time these two sides clashed in the World Cup was in 2019, and fans got to see an exciting match which Afghanistan almost won, but for Mohammad Shami’s hat-trick.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and chose to bat first. Afghanistan played the same XI which featured in Bangladesh game. For India, R Ashwin was benched to bring in Shardul Thakur.
This match has an air of hype amongst the fans as it features Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq. The two players had a heated argument during the IPL 2023 tournament when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had clashed in Bengaluru.
After the war of words, Naveen Ul Haq continued the jibes at Kohli during the tournament while saying that he was having the sweetest mangoes whenever RCB lost a match.
This led to everyone wanting to see the two players clash in Delhi and Naveen Ul Haq copped some severe jibes from Indian fans ahead of the India vs. Afghanistan match in Delhi.
The fans jeered him with chants of Virat Kohli while Naveen was warming up near the boundary. He was also reminded of his mango remark as well.
