India defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs and qualified for the final.
India decided to bat first after winning the toss. Rohit Sharma (53), Shubman Gill (19) added 80 runs for the first wicket, but they along with and Virat Kohli (3) were dismissed by Dunith Wellalage.
Ishan Kishan (33) and KL Rahul (39) formed a modest partnership, but Charith Asalanka (4/18) and Wellalage (5/40) ensured that India didn't reach a significant total. In the end, the Men in Blue scored 213 runs, thanks to Akshar Patel's 26.
Only Dhananjaya de Silva (41) and Wellalage (42*) were able to hold off after the top order was destroyed by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Kuldeep Yadav then performed magic with the ball, taking 4 wickets as Sri Lanka folded for 172 runs.
India won the game by 41 runs and also qualified for the final.
During the match, Virat Kohli was seen having a gala time on the field as he was seen thoroughly enjoying himself. In a viral video on social media, Kohli can be seen shaking a leg to the ‘Lungi Dance’ song being played by the DJ at the ground.
