Indian team had a field day against Pakistan in their recent Asia Cup 2023 encounter which was spread across two days. The match began on September 10 and finished on September 11 due to heavy rain.

India had been put into bat by Babar Azam who had won the toss and when the rain interrupted play on September 10, the Men in Blue were 147/2 with half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, while Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were unbeaten at the crease.

The game resumed on Monday and saw Virat Kohli (122*) and KL Rahul (111*) stitch a massive 233-run partnership and guide Team India to 356/2 in 50 overs.

Many expected Pakistan to give India a run for their money despite a huge chase given that they had three batters in their lineup who were in the top 10 of the ICC ODI player rankings including no.1 batter In Babar Azam.

However, Kuldeep Yadav picked 5/25 to bundle up Pakistan for 128 runs and India registered a massive 228-run win, their biggest ever in ODIs against Pakistan.

Other than registering such a magnificent victory, skipper Rohit Sharma won many hearts with his heartwarming gesture to a fan. After the match, Rohit was seen prompting a fan in the stands to wave the Indian flag higher.

The video soon went viral on social media as the fans were left utterly impressed by the gesture of the right-handed batter.
