Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 1 wicket to enter the final.
Pakistan and Afghanistan engaged in a low-scoring thriller in Sharjah on Wednesday (September 7) with the Babar Azam-led side emerging winners by one wicket thanks to consecutive sixes by fast bowler Naseem Shah in the final over bowled by Fazalhaq Farooqi.
With this win, Pakistan also booked their spot in the Asia Cup 2022 final and will play hosts Sri Lanka on September 11 for the title. The two teams will also meet in a dress rehersal for the final on Friday. India and Afghanistan were knocked out of contention as both are yet to win a game in Super 4s.

As the match was heating up with a bit of panic in the Pakistani batting chasing a moderate target of 130, tempers flared and there were some ugly scenes as Pakistan's Asif Ali threatened to hit Fareed Ahmad with his bat after getting a send-off from the Afghanistan left-arm pacer.
Fareed had dismissed Asif in the penultimate over of the match and came in the way of the batter who was about to begin his walk for the dugout. The Afghanistan pacer celebrated passionately and roared as he pumped his fist. Asif was clearly not impressed as all this happened with the bowler almost in his face and as a reaction threatened to hit him with the bat as other Afghanistan players intervened to separate the two players.
Both players are likely to be called up by the match-referee after this ugly exchange as the situation could have gotten lot worse had Asif not controlled his urge to get physical with Fareed.
