Ravi Bishnoi successfully corrected his alignment issues to help India secure a 3-0 T20I series sweep against Zimbabwe. Earlier this month, the leg-spinner had experienced a difficult outing against England in Manchester, where he conceded 60 runs in four overs and bowled three costly back-foot no-balls.

To fix his run-up, which was drifting away from the stumps rather than heading straight, Bishnoi underwent targeted training at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Working closely with coaches Sairaj Bahutule and Sunil Joshi, he focused entirely on realigning his run-up tracking without altering his natural bowling action.

The structural adjustments translated into massive improvements during the Zimbabwe tour, where Bishnoi picked up three wickets at an economy rate of 5.66, a great comeback from his 15.00 economy rate against England.

"I worked on the areas that needed improvement because there were a few errors in my bowling. I worked on them, and now the results are showing.

“I got a lot of support from the coaches and they told me what I needed to do. I had started going a little too wide, which usually doesn't happen, but unfortunately, it kept happening in that match (against England)," said Bishnoi at the conclusion of the series.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's explosive knock of 49-ball 81 propelled India to a formidable 192/5 in the third T20I. In reply, the hosts were restricted to 157/7, giving the visitors a comprehensive 35-run victory.

This result marked India’s first T20I series win under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer after a tough assignment in the UK.

Reflecting on his approach on surfaces at the Harare Sports Club that offered minimal turn for spin bowlers, Bishnoi said he utilized natural skidding variation to stifle batters.

"There isn't much turn, but one good thing for us is that our balls go straight and stay low. That really helps my bowling. Yes, big grounds do help bowlers. 100% we also need big grounds as bowlers," he remarked.
