Coming to the match, India lost 7 wickets for 71 runs to get bowled out for 217 in their first innings on Day 3. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was the top scorer with 49 while Kohli failed to add his second day’s tally of 44.
For New Zealand, Kyle Jamieson was the stand-out bowler, claiming 5 wickets by conceding 31 runs in his 22 overs. Trent Boult (2-47) and Neil Wagner (2-40) also chipped in with a couple of scalps.
