Broad achieved the 500 Test wickets milestone during the third Test against West Indies.
Broad, who was left gutted after being dropped from the first Test in Southampton, finished the third Test with 10 wickets to his name as England thrashed West Indies by 269 runs to complete a 2-1 series win and regain the Wisden Trophy.

After this monumental achievement, Broad is deservedly garnering praises from all quarters for his sheer longevity in the game.
Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh, who has smashed Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in an over way back in 2007, also lauded the English paceman for his remarkable feat.
“I’m sure everytime I write something about @StuartBroad8, people relate to him getting hit for 6 sixes! Today I request all my fans to applaud what he has achieved! 500 test wickets is no joke-it takes hard work, dedication & determination. Broady you’re a legend! Hats off,” Yuvraj tweeted on Wednesday (July 29).
In the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa, Yuvraj had hit Broad for 6 consecutive sixes during a group encounter. But the England speedster has come a long way after that forgettable over in Durban.
Stuart Broad, 34, has represented England in 140 Tests so far, claiming 501 wickets at an average of 27.94 with 18 five-wicket hauls. He has also picked up 178 wickets from 121 ODIs and 65 scalps in 56 T20Is.
