Warner rewrote the record books with his marathon display at the Adelaide Oval.
After entertaining one and all with his marathon triple century against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval, Australia opener David Warner won the heart of his fans by gifting a helmet and set of gloves.
Warner, who had scored 154 in the first Test, followed that up with a masterful 335 not out in the second game.

With this marathon knock, the southpaw broke quite a few records. He went past the tally of Don Bradman and Mark Taylor’s 334 to become the second-highest scorer for Australia in a Test innings after Matthew Hayden (380). The left-hander also beat Don Bradman’s record of 299 set against South Africa in 1931-32 for the highest Test score at the Adelaide Oval.
Warner looked set to break the highest-ever individual Test score of 400 by Brian Lara but Australia skipper Tim Paine declared the first innings at 589/3.
As he walked to the dressing room amid a standing ovation from the crowd, Warner gave away his helmet and gloves to his young fans, who were seen fighting to get hold of the gears.
