Pakistan required to chase 437 runs to defeat Bangladesh and level the Test series 1-1.
On Day 4, Mohammed Rizwan and Liton Das got into a heated argument as the visitors chased a massive 437 to tie the series. What came next, however, was even funnier. Together, the Bangladeshi players mocked the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter, even using a well-known line from the Indian movie Hera Pheri.
The incident happened when Taijul Islam was ready to deliver the ball in the 72nd over of Pakistan's chase when Rizwan, who was positioned at the crease, stopped him, alleging a disturbance close to the sightscreen. Bangladeshi wicketkeeper Liton Das was enraged by Rizwan's actions.
“What is your problem. Can’t you bat here? You are continuously interrupting the bowler,” Das told Rizwan.
Rizwan went up to the umpire after the over was over, ostensibly pointing out the hosts' actions. At that point, the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter was accused by the Bangladeshi fielders of "overacting."
“Overacting ke liye hum 50 paise kaatenge [We’ll deduct 50 paise for overacting]," one of them was heard saying on the stump mic.
