Kranti Goud claimed a six-wicket haul in the third ODI against England.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s heartwarming gesture for young pacer Kranti Goud stole the show after India registered a thrilling 13-run victory over England in the third ODI at Chester-le-Street to clinch the series 2-1.
Riding on Kranti’s remarkable six-wicket haul (6-52 in 9.5 overs), India bundled England out for 305 in 49.5 overs after posting 318/5 on the board.
Following the win, Kranti received a special tribute from Harmanpreet, who shared her Player of the Match award with the youngster.
In a video shared by BCCI, Harmanpreet was seen handing over the trophy and a signed match ball to Kranti with the words, "Main tumse share kar rahi hoon," followed by a warm hug.
“I am going to share the 'Player of the Match' award with Kranti. She bowled one of the best spells of her career... We have been dying for that kind of fast bowler in the Indian team. She deserves this,” Harmanpreet can be heard saying in the viral clip.
Harmanpreet also hailed Kranti Goud as "a star" for her seamless transition from domestic and WPL cricket to the international stage.
When Goud asked her captain what was written on the ball, Kaur replied: “Dear Kranti, you are a star. This was your spell — 9.5 overs, 1 maiden, 52 runs, and 6 wickets.”

Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur slammed 102 off 84 balls, becoming only the third Indian woman to surpass 4000 ODI runs. Supported by Smriti Mandhana (45), Harleen Deol (45), and Jemimah Rodrigues (50), India racked up a massive total on the board.
Despite a valiant chase led by Sciver-Brunt (98) and Emma Lamb (68), England fell short in the end.
