Southen Brave Women's opener Mandhana is returning home to spend time with her family ahead of the multi-format series against Australia.
Manchester Originals Women's all-rounder Harmanpreet has been ruled out of the tournament after suffering a quad injury, ESPNCricinfo reported. She had missed the last two matches owing to the injury.
“I would love to be able to stay with the team until the final but we have been away from home for a long time with more tours ahead. I’ll be watching the team at Lord’s and hoping they’ll continue our good form. It’s been a fantastic competition to be involved in and I have really enjoyed it,” said Smriti Mandhana in an official statement.
Mandhana scored a match-winning 78 not out of 52 balls in her final match of The Hundred on Wednesday, 11 August. She scored 167 runs in seven innings overall. Her team Southern Brave Women has won six out of seven matches and is on top of the points table.
Harmanpreet Kaur aggregated 104 runs in three innings. Manchester Originals Women have had a tough time in the tournament and are placed sixth on the points table. They have won two of their six matches.
