Indian team sweated it out in the nets ahead of their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warmup match in New York on June 1. India will start their T20 World Cup campaign on June 5 against Ireland at the newly constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Meanwhile, the most-awaited blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan will take place on June 9. They will later play tournament co-hosts USA (June 12) and Canada (June 15) to wrap up their Group A matches.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, India vice-captain and all-rounder Hardik Pandya was seen sweating it out in the nets. Pandya last played for India in the ICC World Cup 2023 against Bangladesh, where he suffered an ankle injury.

Pandya made his cricketing comeback in IPL 2024, where he led the Mumbai Indians, but his maiden stint as captain of the 5-time champions was marred with unacceptance from core MI fans and poor performances.

In 14 matches, Pandya scored 216 runs at an average of 18.00 and a strike rate of 143.04, with the best score of 46. He also took 11 wickets at a poor average of 35.18 and an economy rate of 10.75.

BCCI shared a post on social media platforms, sharing a glimpse of Team India sweating it out in the net practice session. Pandya was seen practicing with both bat and ball in the nets.

"Preps in full swing. Getting into the groove ahead of the #T20WorldCup," BCCI wrote on Instagram.

On the other hand, Shivam Dube was seen getting bowling tips from captain Rohit Sharma. Dube might have bowled only six balls in IPL 2024, but it seems like Rohit is probably looking to utilize all-rounder Shivam Dube's seam-up skills more often in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

During the nets, where Rohit Sharma faced a variety of Indian bowlers, he was seen advising the Mumbai all-rounder on the lengths to bowl. Dube was listening intently and soaking in all the knowledge from one of the most dangerous T20I batters of all-time.
