Mohammed Amir lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja after the Pakistan cricket team suffered back-to-back defeats in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

After suffering a heartbreaking defeat against India in their T20 World Cup 2022 opener, Pakistan were handed yet another embarrassing defeat against Zimbabwe in their second match in the tournament.

The Men in Green suffered a humiliating defeat of 1 run against Zimbabwe on Thursday (October 27) in Perth to put their T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final chances in jeopardy.

Following the defeat, Amir blamed the PCB chairman for Pakistan's dismal performance in the tournament and even asked Raja to step down from his position after the team's embarrassing defeat against Zimbabwe on Thursday.

Mohammed Amir wrote on Twitter: “From day one I said poor selection ub is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it's time to get rid of so called chairman jo pcb ka khuda bana hwa hai and so called chief selector (From day one, I said it's a poor selection. Who will take the responsibility? I think it's time to get rid of the so-called PCB chairman who thinks he is the god, as well as the so-called chief selector).”

Notably, Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat against Zimbabwe has put the team’s semi-finals qualification hopes in serious jeopardy, as they are currently placed in the second-last position in the points table with 2 defeats from 2 matches so far in the T20 World Cup 2022.
