The 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup 2022 is around the corner and to take part in the marquee event, the Indian squad departed for Australia from Mumbai in the wee hours of Thursday (October 6).

The showpiece tournament will get underway on October 16 with the qualifying round matches, while the Super 12s will kick off on October 22.

The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team will open its campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

However, the Indian contingent has left for Down Under two weeks ahead of their T20 World Cup campaign to get acclimatized to the Australian conditions in advance.

Taking to Instagram, Indian players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant among others shared pictures just before the departure.
