Asked to bat first, the Kiwis posted a massive 172/5 in their allotted 20 overs on the back of opener Martin Guptill’s 56-ball 93. Glenn Phillips also contributed 33 runs to New Zealand’s total.

Mark Watt was the stand-out bowler for Scotland, claiming one wicket by conceding only 13 runs in his four overs. Safyaan Sharif also returned with impressive figures of 2 for 28 in his four-over quota.
