Harbhajan and Mohammad Amir got into an ugly war of words.
There has been lots of social media chaos ever since Pakistan beat India for the first time in World Cups during their T20 World Cup 2021 encounter on Sunday. Former cricketers from both sides have been taking digs at one another with some putting out vile statements.
India’s legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh recently took Pakistani cricketers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Amir to task on social media after their unsavory comments after
Harbhajan and Amir traded blows on Twitter on Tuesday, which got ugly with Amir reminding the offie about when Shahid Afridi smacked four consecutive sixes off him in a Test match.
Harbhajan then responded by reminding Amir of how he bowled a no-ball in Lord’s in a 2010 Test for money. This all came after Pakistan celebrated their maiden win over India in World Cups and went over the top with their digs and statements.
Harbhajan, in a video on his YouTube channel, expressed his astonishment at the nature of chaos one victory over India has caused in the Pakistan cricketing spectrum.
"India lost against Pakistan for the first time in World Cups, and even though it was the T20 World Cup, it still happened. There is a lot of chaos on social media as if they have done a huge thing. It might have been for Pakistan but we have defeated them 12 times in the World Cup, we should not forget this. If India and Pakistan meet again, India will play much better and win,” Harbhajan Singh said.
India will now prepare for New Zealand on October 31 as they clash in Dubai.
