The first half of the high voltage India v Pakistan clash at Dubai on October 24, 2021, ended with India going back into the dugout beaming with confidence. After being put in to bat first by Pakistan captain Babar Azam who won the toss, India looked in trouble for most of the innings.

However, skipper Virat Kohli and some amazing hitting from Rishabh Pant helped India to more than a decent total. Shaheen Afridi had rocked India badly removing Rohit Sharma for a duck first ball and then castled KL Rahul for 3 runs. India soon became 31/3 as Suryakumar Yadav fell to Hassan Ali for 11.

Then Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant added a valuable 53 runs for the 4th wicket as Pant slammed 39 in 30 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes before getting out to Shadab Khan going for another big one. He hit Hassan Ali (2/44) for two one-handed sixes in an over.

Virat Kohli continued to hold one end with a sublime 57 in 49 balls with 5 fours and 1 six before becoming the third victim of Shaheen Afridi, who finished with 3/31.

Ravindra Jadeja (13) and Hardik Pandya (11) did their best as India finished for 151/7 in 20 overs.

The cricket fraternity lauded Virat Kohli for his sublime and stoic batting on Twitter and we have the best tweets for you.
