Rohit Sharma is the only Indian batter to score consecutive ODI centuries against Pakistan.
Pakistan fast bowler Hassan Ali recalled his bowling experience to the India opener Rohit Sharma. Rohit had left Hasan annoyed with his long stay at the crease against Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup.
"Have you ever felt 'what is he doing? why isn't he getting out?' while bowling to someone?", asked Danish Sait in a video posted by ICC on Twitter. Hassan immediately replied, "Yes, our Rohit bhai from India".
"I felt it in World Cup 2019. I mean, what do you want? You have completed your century, now what.. although he got out soon but there I felt it," Hassan said. He added saying "very difficult" nodding his head, suggesting bowling to Rohit isn't easy at all.
Rohit had scored 140 runs in the 2019 World Cup encounter against Pakistan at Old Trafford. Eventually, he was dismissed by Hassan but the damage was already done. India had won the match by 89 runs (D/L).
With the hundred in that match, Rohit had become the first-ever Indian batsman to score a back-to-back centuries against Pakistan in ODI cricket. His previous century before this one was in Asia Cup 2018 when Rohit smashed a sensational 111 not-out off 119 deliveries.
India and Pakistan will clash once again in the 2021 T20 World Cup on Sunday (October 24) in Dubai.
