WATCH - Indian cricketers take part in 'Squid Games'; only two ace the challenge

Indian cricket team is currently in UAE for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Indian players took part in one of the games from the famous Netflix series 'Squid Games'. The Korean drama revolves around a contest in which hundreds of players compete for a tempting prize, but with their life at stake. 

Indian cricketers including Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Mohammad Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah took part in the challenge and only two of them could win it.

The game required players to pluck out a particular shape using a needle from a honeycomb, and if the shape breaks, the player is eliminated. Only Rohit and Shami completed the challenge, while others were eliminated. 

"India put to the test in nerve-wracking game," ICC wrote. "Indian Cricket Team stars are put to the test with a game made famous by one of the world's most talked-about shows," the caption on the post added.

The Indian cricket team is currently preparing for the 2021 T20 World Cup. They recently defeated Australia in their second warm-up game, after beating England in the first practice match.

Team India will kick-off their campaign at the T20 World Cup on October 24th against Pakistan.
