India lost the third and final ODI by 110 runs and the series 0-2 to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka elected to bat first after winning the toss, and Avishka Fernando excelled with 96 runs off 102 balls, including nine fours and two sixes. Then Kusal Mendis scored 53 runs, helping Sri Lanka reach 248/7 in 50 overs.
Debutant Riyan Parag was India's best bowler, taking 3-54 in nine overs.
In reply, only Rohit Sharma (35) and Washington Sundar (30) could withstand Sri Lankan spinners as India was bundled out for 138 runs and lost the game by 110 runs. Dunith Wellalage picked a fifer for Sri Lanka.
During the Sri Lankan innings, Rohit Sharma was seen encouraging his bowlers while standing at slips. Rohit was motivating bowler Akshar Patel to pitch in the right areas and was heard saying, "Anna Hari, Meka Hari" which when translated from Sinhalese to England means 'that’s right, This is right'.
When wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant heard Rohit from behind, he began to chuckle, and a video of this appeared on social media during Sri Lanka's batting innings.
