Rohit, who occasionally opened for India in the early part of his career, has been regularly featuring at the top in white-ball cricket after the 2013 Champions Trophy, scoring 7,148 ODI and 2,313 T20I runs opening the innings.

The prodigious right-hander also began opening in Test cricket just recently and did that successfully against South Africa and Bangladesh, making 556 runs at an average of 92.66, including three hundreds.
Overall, Rohit stands as the 21st opener in the history of the game to make 10,000 international runs.
On the day also, the 32-year-old showed off his class, scoring a majestic 40-ball 65 glint with six fours and three maximums to help India post a total of 179/5. He later won the game for India in the Super Over by hitting two consecutive sixes.
