Shaw made 181 runs for Maharashtra in warm-up game against Mumbai in Pune.
This altercation happened on day one of the match between Mumbai and Maharashtra. Shaw was dismissed by Musheer after scoring a brilliant 181 runs off 220 balls, which included 21 fours and three sixes.
Shaw's dismissal in the 74th over, caught at square leg by Irfan Umair off Musheer Khan, elicited intense emotions. Shaw went off the field, clearly agitated, supposedly triggered by Musheer Khan's two words: "Thank you."
Musheer Khan's snide tone and send-off enraged Shaw, who came back aggressively and threatened to attack him with his bat. He attempted to grasp Musheer's collar before being stopped by an on-field umpire and other players.
However, on Day 3 of the match (which was live-streamed by the Maharashtra Cricket Association), Shaw approached Musheer after his opening partner, Arshin Kulkarni, was dismissed, placed his arm around the all-rounder's neck, and appeared to be having a cordial conversation with the Mumbai teenager. Musheer also responded by keeping his hands on Prithvi's waist throughout the amicable-looking talk.
"Prithvi realized his mistake and approached Musheer and apologised to him. Prithvi told him that ' I am like an elder brother to you.' So all is well between the two," a source told Times of India.
Sarfaraz has finished his injury rehabilitation at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and is now ready to compete in the Ranji Trophy. The seasoned middle-order batsman will thus travel with the Mumbai team for the tournament's opening encounter against Jammu and Kashmir on October 15.
Sarfaraz injured his quadriceps while making consecutive hundreds in the Buchi Babu Trophy, forcing him to miss the Duleep Trophy and the Irani Trophy.
