Burly Pakistan keeper-batter Azam Khan has reportedly failed to complete the prescribed two-kilometer run during the squad’s ongoing fitness camp in Kakul. 29 players handpicked by the PCB are undergoing endurance and stamina exercises under the supervision of the Pakistan army.

During this 2 km endurance run, Azam struggled, managing only one and a half kilometers before stopping. His completion time for this distance was 20 minutes.

On the other hand, Irfanullah Khan Niazi showcased a remarkable performance and completed the course in just 6 minutes and 47 seconds.

Other notable performances included Mohammad Rizwan finishing the run in 8 minutes and 26 seconds, while Mohammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Haseebullah, and Mohammad Wasim Junior completed it in 8 minutes and 27 seconds.

Shaheen Shah Afridi in 8 minutes and 37 seconds, Agha Salman in 9 minutes and 20 seconds, Mohammad Amir in 9 minutes and 30 seconds, Shadab Khan in 9 minutes and 56 seconds, and Mohammad Nawaz in 9 minutes and 57 seconds.

Imad Wasim skipped the endurance exercise citing potential damage to his knee, while Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf also refrained from the exercise as they recovered from the injuries suffered during PSL.

Babar Azam, who was in Saudi Arabia for Umrah, is expected to join the Kakul Academy camp on Thursday.
