India is all set to once again face the mighty Australians in the title clash, as the Uday Saharan-led Indian team is gearing up to take on Australia in the ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 final on Sunday, February 11.

Australia has been dominant over India in recent ICC title matches, including the World Test Championship 2023 final and the ODI World Cup 2023 final. On both occasions, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team ended up as the runners-up.

Well, now fans will get to see another title battle between India and Australia on February 11, and Uday Saharan and his boys have the golden opportunity to take revenge for the ODI World Cup 2023 final defeat.

But the right-handed batter downplayed the revenge talks and said it's nothing like revenge or a grudge match against Australia.

Uday Saharan told PTI: “I am not thinking anything like that. We are focusing on our game and we have to give our best. We are playing according to the match conditions.”

Meanwhile, the U19 World Cup has a history of producing future stars for India, from Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli to Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Saharan, currently the top scorer of the tournament with 389 runs in six matches at 64.83, remains grounded and isn't looking far ahead.

The Indian U-19 captain said, “I never think about it. I don't think about the past. I just think about how I can give my best for the team and how to get the best out of the team.”

On the other hand, Australia captain Hugh Weibgen is ready to face India in the final.

Weibgen told the ICC website: “India are a class team. They will come out and compete hard – we'll love that challenge, we'll love that fight and we are looking forward to it.”

Notably, the defending champions India will be looking to win the sixth U19 World Cup title, while tustralia will hope to lift the trophy for the fourth time.
