Shoaib Malik married Pakistani actress Sana Javed on Saturday.
The announcement caught the world of sports in both Pakistan and India off guard, as the rumors of a breakdown of his marriage with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza turned into facts.
This is the third marriage for Shoaib Malik after Ayesha Siddiqui to whom he was married from 2002-2010. Then Malik married Sania Mirza in 2010 and the couple had a son named Izhaan in 2018. Recently, there were rumors that the couple had separated and were moving towards divorce.
However, both the parties didn’t confirm anything about this, but Shoaib Malik marrying for the third time has led to a Pakistani media channel reporting the possible reason behind Malik and Mirza’s divorce.

The report stated that it was the cricketer's extramarital affairs that drove Sania out. Also, none of the cricketer's family members were present at his wedding with Sana Javed. The report added that Malik's sisters were upset by the fact that the former Pakistan captain was marrying for the third time.
"None of Shoaib Malik's family members attended his third wedding with divorced actress Sana Javed. Malik's sisters have expressed serious concerns over his divorce with Tennis star Sania Mirza. It is claimed that Sania was tired of Malik's extramarital affairs," a report by The Pakistan Daily said.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza’s father confirmed to PTI that the former tennis player opted for a “Khula” with Shoaib, but she never talked about the separation or anything.
