Warner smashed 164 off 211 balls on Day 1 of the Perth Test against Pakistan.
On Day 1 of the opening Test, Warner looked in supreme touch as he notched up his three-figure mark in 125 balls. It was his 26th hundred in the longest format of the game.
Ahead of the series, former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson had taken a dig at Warner’s fading numbers in Test cricket, saying that the veteran opener doesn't warrant a hero’s send-off.
While Warner didn’t react publicly to Johnson’s criticism, he chose to let his bat do the talking. The southpaw smashed 164 off 211 balls (16 fours and 4 sixes) against Pakistan in Perth to lay the foundation of Australia’s massive first innings total.
With this knock, David Warner triggered a meme-fest as the netizens targetted Mitchell Johnson in their posts.
