David Warner has also shared his thoughts on the ongoing floods in Chennai.
Cyclonic storm Michaung has been causing widespread damage in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh for more than three days, making life tough for the people who reside there. Among those affected is veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin.
In response to a post on X highlighting waterlogging and power outages in Chennai, Ashwin stated that there had been no electricity in his area for more than 30 hours. The Indian off-spinner also expressed concern that this issue might be affecting many other places too.
R Ashwin replied to that X post by saying: “No power in my locality for more than 30 hours too. Guess that’s the case in many places. Not Sure what options we have.”
Meanwhile, Australian opener David Warner also took to Instagram to express his concern about the current situation in Chennai. He also urged people to help the affected people in any way possible.
He wrote on Instagram, “I’m deeply concerned about the ongoing floods affecting many areas in Chennai. My thoughts are with all those who are impacted by this natural disaster. It’s important for everyone to stay safe, and seek higher ground if necessary.
If you’re in a position to help, please consider supporting relief efforts or offering assistance to those in need. Let’s come together to support where we can.”
