Rario is the world's first officially licensed cricket digital collectibles platform.
The big the tournament, the bigger the opportunity and the higher the rewards. But it often becomes difficult to plan properly since a lot of matches happen in tandem during major tournaments. Also, there is a huge competition as well.
However, there are always ways to stand out from the rest. We spoke to some of the top D3 players, including Meghraj Methre and Imran Ahmed to understand what it takes to prepare for big tournaments like the Indian T20 League, Big Bash League (BBL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL), World Championships, etc. They have won a lot of big contests on Rario.
They opened their bag of tricks to us in a candid chat. This is the narration of what they said:
The first and most important thing you need to do is shortlist the players who you think will do well in a particular tournament or who have performed consistently in the past.
You can select players who play a lot of matches throughout the year and perform consistently. Doing this will help you a lot as then you can purchase the cards of those players and the majority of your player cards will do well in the tournament.
This way you can avoid buying unnecessary cards and save your wallet balance.
Now that you have shortlisted the player cards, you’ll need to purchase the player cards. Buying those cards during a tournament when the player is performing well can be very expensive. You may also not have a good XP (experience points) card if you try to buy it during a particular tournament.
To avoid this, you can buy the cards sometime before the tournament or when that particular player is playing in a bilateral series. This way you can get the cards relatively cheaply and can also build their XP by using them in bilaterals and other matches.
Then you can either use the cards on D3 and win big rewards or you can also sell the cards at a good price on Marketplace.
This is a very important point as most players will look to buy the majority of the player cards for a particular tournament. This can be very expensive and not all the players will perform in a given tournament. It’s also very difficult to sell the cards of players who fail in a tournament. You also need to have all kinds of cards -Black, Gold, Silver, and Bronze to participate in most of the contests on D3.
So, you need to be very clear about the players whose cards you want to buy. We suggest that you should get cards from the all-rounders as they can perform with both bat and ball.
Ideally, you’ll need 1 Black Card (preferably an all-rounder), 2–3 Gold, 5 Silver, and 5 Bronze cards from a particular team and you should be good to go.
The OG cards are potential game-changers if you get the position/role of a particular player right! Not everyone has OG cards and they are very valuable if used correctly.
Suppose you have Faf du Plessis’s card and AB de Villiers’s OG card, which is Batter 2 for Bangalore in Indian T20 League. Faf was opening with Virat Kohli and he was the batter 2. So if you had both Faf’s card and AB’s card then fetched double points whenever Faf did well. OG cards, as mentioned earlier, can help you win big on D3 if used correctly.
