Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are currently taking part in the IPL 2022.
Rohit, who made his international debut in 2007, has quite a few world records to his name. He is the proud owner of the highest individual ODI score — 264 (against Sri Lanka in 2014). Moreover, he is the only batsman to have smashed three ODI double tons and four Twenty20 international centuries.
In his illustrious cricket career, Sharma has amassed 9283 ODI runs in 230 matches at an average of 48.60 and a strike rate of 89.01. He boasts 29 tons in the 50-over format and was the top run-getter (648) in the 2019 ODI World Cup.
Rohit has also played a vital role in India’s 2007 ICC T20 World Cup triumph and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy title win.
Coming to his exploits in Test cricket, Rohit has left a lasting impression on everyone while batting at the top after struggling in the middle-order. The right-hander has played 45 Tests so far, scoring 3137 runs at an average of 46.13 with 8 hundreds and 14 fifties.
On his 35th birthday, wishes poured in for the Indian captain from the cricket fraternity but it was his predecessor Virat Kohli’s wish that caught everyone’s attention.
Taking to Instagram, Kohli uploaded a story where he can be seen embracing Rohit.
“Happy Birthday Rohit Sharma, God Bless,” he wrote in the caption.
