PAK v AUS 2022: WATCH – Mitchell Starc gets a taste of his own medicine; faces deadly yorker from Shaheen Afridi

Australia conceded a first-innings lead of 17 runs in the ongoing Rawalpindi Test.

Widely regarded as one of the best exponents of bowling yorkers, Australia pacer Mitchell Starc on Tuesday (March 8) got a taste of his own medicine.

On Day 5 of the Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan, Starc faced a deadly yorker from Shaheen Afridi and he had no answers to it.

Shaheen went wide of the crease to angle the ball in and he got the ball to reverse as well, resulting in a plumb LBW.

The on-field umpire instantly raised his finger but Starc opted for a review, only to be given out by the TV umpire some moments later.

Coming to the match, Australia’s first innings folded for 459 in reply to Pakistan’s 476/4 (declared). Australia’s top-four betters slammed half-centuries to take the visitors close to the home team’s total.

For Pakistan, Nauman Ali starred with the ball, claiming six wickets by conceding 107 runs in his 38.1 overs.
