Babar Azam continues to lead the batting chart in the ICC rankings.
Shai Hope lost out on valuable points and slipped out of the top 10 in the updated rankings after his score of 8 in the ODI series opener. As a result, Fakhar Zaman and Joe Root broke into the top 10 of the batting rankings.
Babar Azam (873 rating points) and Kohli (828 rating points) retained the top two spots, but Rohit (807 rating points), edged closer to the latter after slamming 60 in India’s six-wicket victory in the first ODI.
There was no alteration in the top 10 of the bowling rankings, but Jason Holder, following his half-century (57) in the first ODI against India, advanced four places in the all-rounder rankings to sneak into the top 20.
Oman's Jatinder Singh, who hit a century in the first match of the UAE series, part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, moved up 26 places to break into the top 100 of the batting rankings.
Jatinder is the second-highest run-scorer in the League 2 tournament with 594 runs in 23 matches.
