KL Rahul moves to 4th place, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma static in latest ICC T20I rankings

India did not play T20Is in the period considered by ICC for update in T20I rankings.

India opener KL Rahul has made some upwards movement in the latest update of the ICC T20I batters rankings, released on February 2, 2022. On the other hand, Virat Kohli and India captain Rohit Sharma remained static on 10^th and 11^th positions.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the best-placed India bowler in the 20^th spot in the ICC T20I bowling rankings, while Jasprit Bumrah fell two places to 26th. No Indian is featured in the all-rounder’s list. India, though, did not feature in T20 Internationals in recent times.

In the latest weekly update to the men’s rankings, which considers performances in the last three matches of the series, West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein moved up 15 places to 18th position after a haul of four for 30 that helped him finish with six wickets in three matches.

Jason Holder was the biggest gainer in the recent ICC T20I rankings thanks to his fifer in the fifth and final T20I against England. He also became the first West Indies bowler to pick a hat-trick in T20Is and ended up with four wickets in four balls.

He has advanced three places to 23rd with a massive gain of 20 rating points.

In the ranking for batters, Nicholas Pooran is up eight places to 18th after scoring 113 runs in the three matches including a knock of 70, while Brandon King (up 25 places to 58th) and West Indies captain Kieron Pollard (up 15 places to 60th) have also advanced.

Moeen Ali leapfrogged Glenn Maxwell and Wanindu Hasaranga on the ICC Men's T20I All-Rounder rankings, sitting in third behind Mohammad Nabi (265) and top-ranked Shakib Al Hasan (231).
